EMILIE BECHET is an architect and urban designer. She studied in Brussels (Institut Supérieur d’Architecture Saint-Luc), Amsterdam (Academie van Bouwkunst) and London (Architectural Association).

Over the past 12 years, she has been involved - from design to execution - in masterplan studies and several public facilities. She is involved in the development of numerous housing projects, from individual units to large-scale complexes. She is interested in the inhabited urban fabric and its various typologies. She is particularly interested in the evolution of our living patterns and their influence on the built environment.

Emilie is also active in the academic field (UCL - LOCI Bruxelles). Teaching allows her to take a critical look at her practice.

Emilie Bechet is co-founder of the collective act., an architecture atelier that evolves between - and acts on - landscape, urbanism and social design.
